Le Rouvray et Diane de Obaldia, founder of Le Rouvray

Diane de Obaldia

A quilt shop in Paris, France, practically next door to Notre Dame cathedrale! Nothing was further from her mind as she grew up in Michigan.

Her mother made her clothes and taught her sewing, and during the long, hot Tennessee summers, her grandmother showed her the basics of patchwork and quilting. Later, these quiet occupations were not her priorities as she sets out for great adventures.

After graduating from University of Michigan and working at the fashion office of Marshall Fields in Chicago, she finally arrived at her dreamed-of destination... Paris ! Fun and glamour were provided as she worked as a model in the French haute couture at such prestigious establishments as Chanel, Dior, and Pierre Cardin.
